How's it going everyone? Today we're going to be learning about a decorator in Python that can supposedly save us the trouble of defining the comparison dunder methods in our classes. ▶ Become job-ready with Python: www.indently.io ▶ Follow me on Instagram: indentlyreels 00:00 Learning Python made simple 00:05 Intro 00:25 Imports 00:37 What is @total_ordering? 01:56 Comparisons 05...
Should you still learn Python in 2024?
Просмотров 7 тыс.День назад
I read a lot of comments from a lot of people who are worried about AI taking over their future. Python has always been the metaphorical "glue" that programmers used to put more complicated functionality together. It's a high-level language which almost reads like pseudo-code and is also incredibly easy to learn. My take on it is that no matter how sophisticated AI gets, there will always be ro...
This is very convenient in Python

In this video we will be looking at some really cool functionality that we can use in Python to get consistent results from random number generation. This is really good to know if you need to test scripts and want to "freeze" the results while testing. _"Premature Optimization Is the Root of All Evil"_
Why would this make you cry? That's how basically all programming languages work...
Cant you just do b=a ?? Or a function that uses loop
No. The variable a doesn't actually contain a list. It contains an ID that points to the space in your memory of where that list is located. So when you do b = a you're not copying the list to the variable b, you're copying the ID that points to the same list. This means any changes made to the original list a will also change list b, since they are the same list.
@@rafasales4519 oh thats why.
Now in jetpack compose 😢
newList = [*baseList, ] newDict = {**baseDict, } And don't forget the hanging commas, because: maybeTuple = (6) # Nope, this becomes: maybeTuple = 2 * (1+ 2) = 6 # an int definitelyTuple = (6, )
I think you'll need recursive copy
line 13, in <module> intents.message.content = True # NOQA ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ AttributeError: 'Intents' object has no attribute 'message'. Did you mean: 'messages'? PS C:\Users\valmirgamer\Desktop\Nova pasta>
5:53 dude, you are usage f-string without necessary :)
What I normally do is from copy import deepcopy as copy. That what you continue to use copy in your code but performs a deep version.
yuss, i used this method to create child nodes for my minimax algorithm
As a beginner I found these habits very helpful thanks for providing
why not b = a[:]
That will still be a shallow copy
How many vs code python extension? I like comment 1 usage.
Well in that case b = [item for item in a] :P didnt know shallow and deep copies were a thigg, I'll definitely be using them more. Can you mention a scenario where we would use a deep copy instead of variable assignment (e.g. b =a?)
It's not only Python, all languages have this distinction between a shallow copy and a deep copy
7:51 the words you're looking for are "with replacement" (choice) and "without replacement" (sample) as in statistics lingo
Non of these are about python or being more pythonic. This is just good old OOP and clean-code stuff.
you helped me for spaces , I used it in list with \t
i feel like doing b = a[:] could work too, but maybe i'm wrong i didn't test it with a nested container
No it will not work. It will still be a shallow copy
if __name__ == '__main__':
